Sunday Services and Congregational Midweek for May:
- From Michelle Jones - Mama Joyce's Update: At mom's appt with the surgery team, they informed us that her foot amputation wound is not healing well, due to circulation issues. Therefore, they need to perform an additional surgery to cut higher. Possibly still below the knee but they are suggesting above the knee. Mom hasn't yet decided which one, but we are scheduled for Wed, May 6th. She has been such a trooper and has remained in good spirits, prayerful and trusting HIS process. This also means more time at the hospital and rehab before we eventually head home If you would like to assist/donate, please access the link. - Mother's Day Breakfast: Celebrate Mom with a special Mother's Day breakfast on May 10,2026 from 9:00am to 10:00am. Let us know if you can make it using the sign-up link below.
- Marriage Devotional - DATE CHANGE: Calling all couples married 10 years or less! Mark your calendars for May 17 and come laugh, learn, and lean in together as we dive into “Intimacy in Your Marriage.” Cris and Lucy Ward will be leading the conversation, and we promise it’ll be real, encouraging, and full of practical wisdom. We’ll meet right after Sunday announcements- show up and grow together. Can’t wait to see you there!
- Dining with Divas: Sisters and friends who are available during the day are welcome to join us on the 2nd Wednesday of each month for food, fellowship and/or a special activity or outing. The next event is Wednesday, May 13 @12:00 PM at Trios 10709 McMullen Creek Pkwy, Charlotte, NC 28226

- Marriage Workshop - Save the Date
- Charlottetown: The Charlotte Church will host a service at the Charlottetown community on the last Sunday of each month for residents ages 55+. One house church each month will sign up to lead scripture, singing, prayer, fellowship, and communion. The church will provide Bibles, songbooks, communion supplies, and a $50 budget for lunch or activities (additional needs must be approved in advance). Family Group Leaders will receive a detailed instruction packet on the first Sunday of the month they serve. Questions? Contact Paulette Sifford at psifford@thecharlottechurch.org
Youth & Family:
- CAMP SWAMP: During the summer, Camp Swamp provides a week-long overnight youth camp for 6 weeks, Through our 10 Camp Swamp values, we are able to provide a loving, faith-building, and intergenerationally-connected camp environment where campers experience play, connection, community, and wonder for kids ages 9-19 (must Be 9 Years Old by 8/31/26). Choose A Week Between May 31 and July 18!
Teen Ministry:
- High School Graduation Recognition Dinner! Join us as we celebrate and honor our High School class of 2026! We will be serving dinner as we toast our graduates on their hard work and bright futures. We can't wait to see you there! Please RSVP on the Band App by May 31st. **Please reach out to Anthony and Christine if you have a teen graduating this year so we can honor them. **
- TEEN WEEK 2026: Save the date for Teen Week hosted by the COLA Church in Columbia, SC on Wednesday, 7/22 thru Sunday, 7/26! Planning is still underway and we will update you with more details as we receive them.

FOCUS Ministry:
HOPE:
- Volunteer Opportunity – Nourish Up: Join us on Saturday, May 9th to support Nourish Up (formerly Loaves & Fishes), the organization supplying most food pantries in the west corridor. They’ve asked us to staff their new warehouse for one shift: 10:45 AM-1PM, helping sort donations, prepare food boxes, and fill pantry orders.
- We need 25 volunteers - Register through the HOPE Charlotte Volunteer Hub (a HOPE account is required). After registering, you’re all set—just sign the Nourish Up waiver when you arrive. Please click HERE to register.
- This is a great chance to invite a friend to serve with you. All volunteers must register.
- Volunteers must be 14+ and wear closed toed shoes.
