Sunday Services and Congregational Midweek for May:
- From Michelle Jones - Mama Joyce's Update: On 5/6, mom had adjustment surgery to her recent foot amputation. We are grateful that it is still below the knee. Thank God! Prayerfully, she'll have good circulation, so it'll heal. Thankfully, this time, she has also been able to successfully keep her leg elevated, which will help with healing. God is so good. HE is teaching us so much resulting in our complete reliance and trust in HIM. We will continuously be grateful and appreciative of your concerns, cares, love, donations and prayers.

- Mother's Day Breakfast Recap: Thank you for all who attended the Mother’s Day breakfast. Your presence made the day even more special and brought so much warmth to the celebration for all of the mothers. - Marriage Devotional - Calling all couples married 10 years or less! Mark your calendars for May 17 and come laugh, learn, and lean in together as we dive into “Intimacy in Your Marriage.” Cris and Lucy Ward will be leading the conversation, and we promise it’ll be real, encouraging, and full of practical wisdom. We’ll meet right after Sunday announcements- show up and grow together. Can’t wait to see you there!
- Marriage Workshop: 💍 Registration is NOW OPEN for “Attach – A Marriage Workshop!” Join us on Saturday, June 6th from
10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at The Charlotte Church for an encouraging and practical workshop focused on strengthening connection, communication, and love within marriage. We are excited to welcome special guest speakers Alex & Danni from Strength to Strength as they share tools and insight to help couples grow closer and love stronger—one step at a time.
- One Accord: “One Accord” is a safe space for women who may not share the same doctrinal beliefs as their present or former spouse. We hold to biblical truth, find support, and forge lasting connections as we navigate through this journey. “One Accord” will meet at 10am on Saturday, May 16 at Yasmeen’s. - Open Positions:
- Campus Minister/Intern: The Charlotte Church is seeking an individual to fill the role of Campus Minister/Intern. Click here to view the job description. - Single’s Ministry Male Leader: The Charlotte Church is seeking an individual to fill the role of Single Ministry Male Leader. Click here to view the job description. - Charlottetown: The Charlotte Church will host a service at the Charlottetown community on the last Sunday of each month for residents ages 55+. One house church each month will sign up to lead scripture, singing, prayer, fellowship, and communion. The church will provide Bibles, songbooks, communion supplies, and a $50 budget for lunch or activities (additional needs must be approved in advance). Family Group Leaders will receive a detailed instruction packet on the first Sunday of the month they serve. Questions? Contact Paulette Sifford at psifford@thecharlottechurch.org
Youth & Family:
- 6th Annual Riverside Camp Out!: Join families from Greensboro over Memorial Day weekend in Stuart, Virginia, for some fun and fellowship in the great outdoors. You're welcome to stay the whole weekend or just come on Saturday for some games and a community meal! See the Band App for more information.
- Friday Night Lights!: We had so much fun last time, and it was so great meeting several teens from the community. So, we're doing it again! We’re opening up the Church Gym on Friday, June 19th at 7p for our Youth and Family Ministry and the entire community for some teen sports! Whether you’re an All-Star hitter or just here for the snacks and the music, this is where you want to be. No experience? No problem. Just bring yourself and your crew. We’ve got the court ready and the volume turned UP!
- CAMP SWAMP: During the summer, Camp Swamp provides a week-long overnight youth camp for 6 weeks, Through our 10 Camp Swamp values, we are able to provide a loving, faith-building, and intergenerationally-connected camp environment where campers experience play, connection, community, and wonder for kids ages 9-19 (must Be 9 Years Old by 8/31/26). Choose A Week Between May 31 and July 18!
Teen Ministry:
- High School Graduation Recognition Dinner! Join us as we celebrate and honor our High School class of 2026! We will be serving dinner as we toast our graduates on their hard work and bright futures. We can't wait to see you there! Please RSVP on the Band App by May 31st. **Please reach out to Anthony and Christine if you have a teen graduating this year so we can honor them. **
- TEEN WEEK 2026: Save the date for Teen Week hosted by the COLA Church in Columbia, SC on Wednesday, 7/22 thru Sunday, 7/26! Planning is still underway and we will update you with more details as we receive them.
