- AnJanette Edgar: For those who aren’t aware, AnJanette has been relocated to Redwood Health & Rehabilitation, 5939 Reddman Rd, room 206. James is in an apartment across the street and visits daily. But she would love to fellowship with others in the church family and is available for visits. If you want to arrange a time, you can text her at 704-930-5067. - Betty Thomas: We have a new sister in Christ! Betty Thomas was baptized around 9:00pm Tuesday night, May 20th, at the Sifford’s home. Betty is Natasha Branch’s mother. Jackie Scott and Margo Scurry were instrumental in helping Betty decide to make Jesus her Lord and Savior. Please join us in welcoming Betty to the family of God!




- MESSIAH: A Musical Performance: Greetings church! I'm happy to announce there's a limited showing of "MESSIAH: A Musical Performance" (As performed on 04/19/25) starting at 10:30 AM ET on May 24th, 2025, through May 26th, 2025. - Interviews with Steve Staten: Steve Staten will be partnering with the Charlotte Church as a consultant to help gain insight into the past and present state of our church. In doing so, Steve would like to interview as many members as possible. Your honest input will help guide future decisions and strengthen the church going forward. - Men’s Table Talk: Traumas, Hurts, & Dysfunctions (T.H.D.): Following up TCC’s March 16th's Ministry Fair, we will kick off the Men’s Table Talk: Traumas, Hurts, and Dysfunctions (T.H.D.) on June 5th @7:00 - 8:00 pm, via zoom. We’ll be starting the first rotation with ten slots available. Once all slots are filled the Signup Genuis will be closed. Please sign up by June 1st, to allow time to send out the zoom link to attendees. The Table Talk is to be a safe, confidential, no judgment space, to be open, honest, humble, and vulnerable, to discuss Traumas, Hurts, and Dysfunction that impact us today. - Food Pantry: We are excited to announce that we are opening a food pantry behind the sanctuary on the main floor. This food pantry, an extension of our benevolence program, will benefit our members as well as anyone who comes to our doors. The food pantry will no way compete with the good work that HOPE does with Nourish Up and we will continue to
support all of their efforts. To kick off stocking the food pantry, we will have a friendly competition between the 4 Deacon led zones to see which zone collects the most food (if you don't know which zone you are in, please check with your family group leader). The initial collection of food will be on Sundays June 1st, 8th, 15th, and 22nd. There will be bins located in the front foyer. The winning zone will be announced after June 22nd. - CEG Women's Retreat: Attention all women! You are invited to the Carolina's and East Georgia Women's Retreat. This year's retreat will be September 26-28th, 2025 at the Ridgecrest Conference Center near Asheville, NC. - Marrieds Game Night: Wanna a night out away from kids?...Want adult conversations?… New connections and friendships…Get to know other Empty Nesters? Join us Saturday May 31st in the fellowship hall at 6pm. Bring your favorite game and a dish to share! Feel free to invite your married friends. This is for anyone married 1 day to 999,999 days!😜
Youth & Family Ministry:
- CAMP SWAMP: It's SWAMP time again!! Camp Swamp provides a week-long overnight youth camp for 6 weeks for youth ages 9yrs - 18yrs. The first week is June 1-7 and the 6th week (the last week) is July 13-19. The purpose of Camp Swamp is to help youth see God by providing a loving, faith-building, and intergenerationally connected camp environment where campers experience play, connection, community and wonder. Teen Ministry:
- Summertime Is Upon Us: We have teens graduating, schools ending and youth moving up to the next grade; that's a sure sign that summertime is upon us. Summertime offers lots of opportunities for fun and building relationships and doing so with spontaneity. Therefore, keep your sight on the Band app and your text messages as we plan to have movie nights, fun events like Top Golf, Frankies and/or bowling, and friendly game competitions. Additionally, we will take some time to serve our community whether at a nursing or assisted living home or doing community cleanup. It's SUMMER, SUMMER, SUMMERTIME so let's have some fun and invite/welcome our friends to join in on the fun with us.
