    Active Shooter Training with CMPD: We will be hosting an Active Shooter Training provided by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) on:

    • 📅 Sunday, February 22
    • ⏰ 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
    • 📍 At the church building

    This training will take the place of House Church for the month of February. We will begin the day with an abbreviated service prior to the start of the training.

    ⚠️ Important Information:

    • Childcare will NOT be provided
    • The training is open to children from 5th grade and up
    • Due to the nature of the training, this session will not be live-streamed
    • The training will be recorded and shared with the congregation afterward
    • Refreshments will be served in the Fellowship Hall after the training

    This training is very important and is designed to equip our church family with practical awareness and safety preparedness. All who are able are strongly encouraged to attend.

    • 2026 Missions Contribution Goal: The Charlotte Church has set a goal of collecting $110,000 for missions in 2026. The first $60,000 collected will be used for support of the Appalachian Christian Church in Boone, North Carolina. The next $50,000 collected will be used in support of African missions. Any additional funds collected over $110,000 will be used for domestic and/or foreign missions as determined by the evangelists, elders and Board of Directors of the Charlotte Church
    • One Accord: The "One Accord" group will be having its first meeting of 2026 to encourage and grow in our relationships with God and with each other. It will be at Carlisa Sanders' home, 603 E. Main Street, Rock Hill SC 29730 on Saturday February 21, 10am- 11:30.
      • “One Accord” is a safe space for women who may not share the same doctrinal beliefs as their spouse. As we navigate the complexities relating to a current or former marriage (separated, divorced, widowed) we hold to biblical truth, find support, and forge lasting connections that nourish our souls and enrich our lives. “One Accord” meets once a month.       • Charlottetown: The Charlotte Church will host a service at the Charlottetown community on the last Sunday of each month for residents ages 55+. One house church each month will sign up to lead scripture, singing, prayer, fellowship, and communion. The church will provide Bibles, songbooks, communion supplies, and a $50 budget for lunch or activities (additional needs must be approved in advance). Family Group Leaders will receive a detailed instruction packet on the first Sunday of the month they serve. Questions? Contact Paulette Sifford at psifford@thecharlottechurch.org

        Arts & Entertainment

        • 🎭 Calling all actors, singers, and creatives: We are looking for people of all ages to help create a musical production for Christmas as well as some smaller productions through the year 2026.
          • Auditions: February 14th at 10-11am: Prepare a monologue of your choice, no longer than 1 minute.  Prepare a song of your choice, no longer than a verse
          • Location: The Charlotte Church on the 3rd Floor. Please follow the signs and enter the front door.

        Youth & Family:

        • SWAMP Summer Camp! During the summer, Camp Swamp provides a week-long overnight youth camp for 6 weeks, Through our 10 Camp Swamp values, we are able to provide a loving, faith-building, and intergenerationally-connected camp environment where campers experience play, connection, community, and wonder for kids ages 9-19 (must Be 9 Years Old by 8/31/26).         Teen Ministry:

        • OVERNIGHT WINTER TEEN SLEDDING!: Saturday, 2/28 thru Sunday, 3/1 we'll be joining other Teens within our region of churches for some winter sledding in Hendersonville, NC! Fellowship and dinner on Saturday evening with sledding on Sunday morning. Please see Anthony if you have any questions.
        • TEEN PROM 2026!: Join the Piedmont Triad Church for the 2026 Teen Prom. "Deep Waters" will be held at the PTC, 606 Millwood School Road, Greensboro, NC on April 18th-19th, 2026 and the Greensboro Science Center/Aquarium, 4301 Lawndale Dr, Greensboro, NC 27455. Registration is now open and the cost is only $65! The fee per person includes Saturday activities at the Greensboro Science Center, a sit-down dinner, and snacks.
