Leader's Meetings for 2023:
- Leaders EOY Celebration: You are invited to a dinner for the Charlotte Church Leaders and their immediate family!

- Timothy Franklin: Timothy Franklin is currently in ICU due to sickle cell crisis complications. Pray that his kidney, heart, and liver functions will get better. And that he can regain consciousness and come off the ventilator. We want to thank those that know for all of the prayers. They are being answered. - Greg Durant: The family is asking for prayer. Greg’s father, John Durant transitioned last Saturday, Nov 18th. Below are the details: Harmony Funeral Home: 2200 Clarendon Rd Brooklyn, NY 11226 Sunday, Dec 3, 11:30-2pm, family hour/ funeral. The burial will be on Monday Dec 4. Cards can be sent to Greg and Cynthia Durant at 17401 Langston Dr. Charlotte 28278.
- Hazel Jones: Please keep the family of Hazel Jones in your prayers. Her niece, Tamika Jones, unexpectedly passed away earlier this month. Cards of encouragement can be sent to Hazel at her home address: 5449 Hedgecrest Pl Charlotte, NC 28269.

- Women’s Book Discussion: Sisters: The word Advent means “coming” in Latin. This Christmas season let’s join together in groups or special times one on one as we read “The Greatest Gift” by Ann Voscamp. Middle School:
- Christmas Potluck/White Elephant Party: The Middle School Ministry will be having a Christmas potluck/White elephant party in the fellowship hall on Dec. 17 from noon to 3:30! Carrie-Lynn will be coordinating this event. All updates will be made through the band app. Please reach out to Byron Smith if you do not have access to this group chat. Teens:
- Ice Skating: Ice skating is planned for the teens this Saturday, December 2, starting at 4pm. Please check the teen band app for choice of location or an alternate event, if the forecasted weather holds up. Please make your choice no later than Friday, Dec 1st, by 8pm.
- Christmas Party: Mark December 10th on your calendars!! That special time of the year, when the experience of a holly, jolly good time is in the air, is upon us. Teen Family, what better way to spend this special time than with special people like you. Join us for food, fun, games, gift exchange and fellowship at the Teen's Christmas Party on Sunday, December 10th, from 12 noon-3pm. Check the teen band app for the signup genius.
- Holidays @the Swamp (H@TS): Can you believe it, it's almost time to say farewell to 2023 and welcome 2024. Let's welcome in the new year by strengthening old relationships and building new ones. Care & Compassion:
- Holiday Brunch: Dear Church Family, on behalf of the Senior Agape Group of the Care and Compassion, I want to thank everyone that signed up to attend our Holiday Brunch for this upcoming Sunday, December 3. The Brunch begins at 12:00 noon in the Fellowship Hall. All slots have been filled and the brunch sign-up has been closed. Only those that signed up will be able to attend and all names will be checked off at the door. Please understand that all preparations were based on the number of people that signed up. We are so excited to see and serve you on Sunday. Be ready for a joyous afternoon of merry music, fellowship, food, and fun.
HOPE:
- HOPE Coat-Hat-Scarfs Drive: Please join us in helping to provide the gift of warmth to some of our neighbors that are in need this winter. We will be collecting the following new and gently used items: Coats, Hats, and Scarves for adults and children. These are the most needed items. The collection will run from December 3rd through December 24th. Please place them in the HOPE bins in the lobby. Thank you once again for being willing to help our neighbors in need.
- Holiday Gift Card Program: We will be running our holiday gift card program again this year. If you would like to donate a gift card, which will be given to an individual or family in the church, that is in need, starting November 12, you can stop by the HOPE table in lobby. All cards must be received by December 3th. The cards can be for places like grocery stores, Wal-Mart, Target, etc. If you have any questions, please stop by the HOPE table after service or contact Hazel Jones hmjones08@yahoo.com or Anne Dames annedames@prodigy.net.
- HOPE Disaster Plan: We want every member to protect yourself and your loved ones, please take a moment to look at this PPT Presentation that has been provided by HOPE world wide's Disaster Team. It's simple and practical. In the event of an emergency, having a plan that you've discussed with the members of your household could make a big difference in reducing unnecessary loss of life.
