  • Georgina Sussewell: Dear Church Family I wanted to share a quick update regarding my mother, Icylin. Her surgery took place on Tuesday, August 25, and everything went wonderfully well! She made it through smoothly, is already up and walking around, and has been officially discharged from the hospital to continue recovering at home. Thank you all so much for your continuous prayers, encouragement, and love during this time. Our family feels incredibly blessed by your support. Best wishes, Georgina
  • Mama Joyce (Update - From Michelle Jones): Mom was officially discharged last Friday so we are home! It's been bittersweet because of all the connections we've made with nurses, assistance, therapists, maintenance, etc. Our sendoff was filled with hugs and tears. Thursday, at her weekly wound care appointment, they said her wound "looks fantastic". I asked her to "say it again" so it was followed by "amazing!" and "wonderful!" We are continuously grateful for your prayers and donations, as it allows me to stay with her daily as she heals. Meals can still be provided via the following link: https://mealtrain.com/vdmg1g

Care & Compassion:

  • Our Wall of Remembrance Is Not Just a Wall—It’s a Place of Solace: Again, a heartfelt thank you to our entire church family and leadership team for the tremendous support and beautiful turnout during our Wall of Remembrance Dedication Weekend. Your presence helped make this a truly meaningful time for our families and our church. As we move forward, we want to remind everyone that our Wall of Remembrance is not just a wall—it is a place of solace.
  • It is a place to:
    • 📖 Read your Bible
    • 🙏🏽 Pray and seek God
    • 🪑 Sit quietly and pray on our prayer bench
    • ❤️ Reflect on the lives of those who have gone before us
    • 🌿 Meditate and simply be still in God’s presence
  • We encourage you to come back and visit often. Take a few moments to sit, reflect, pray, and remember. May this sacred space become a place where we can step away from the busyness of life and spend quiet time with God while reflecting on the faithful lives of those who have gone before us.
  • COMING SOON: THE WALL OF REMEMBRANCE TRIBUTE SCRAPBOOK: We are excited to announce that our Wall of Remembrance Tribute Scrapbook will be coming soon! The scrapbook will include a dedicated page for each person on the wall for whom we are able to gather information. We hope to include photos, memories, and information about their lives, making it easier for current and future members to put a face and story with the names they see on the wall. Several people have already shared, “I need to see pictures—I want to know who they are!” We heard you!
  • HELP US MAKE SURE NO ONE IS MISSED: We know that it is nearly impossible to identify everyone who should be included on the wall, and we have already discovered approximately five additional names that need to be added. As announced Sunday, we would like to give our church family the next couple of weeks to help us identify anyone we may have missed. If you know of a former member of our church family who should be considered for the Wall of Remembrance, please send their name and any information you have to: ministrycareandcompassion@gmail.com.  Thank you for helping us continue to build a Wall of Remembrance that truly reflects the people, lives, faith, love, and legacy of our church family. Come. Sit. Pray. Remember. Reflect. Be still.

HOPE:
