Prayer Request     

  • Crystal Marrow: Please be in prayer for Crystal Marrow and her family as they mourn the loss of Crystal's mother, Norma Young, who was also our dear sister in Christ.  Norma went home to be with Christ on 4/5/20 at the age of 76.  Please pray for God's comfort at this time and for safe travels as the family celebrates Norma's life in NJ where Norma will be laid to rest.  
  • Mijai Wallace: Please keep our sister, Mijai Wallace, in your thoughts and prayers. She has recently tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently in the hospital with pneumonia. Mijai's spirit's are high and is believing God for a full recovery.  We know the power of prayer and our almighty God, so let's rally together in prayer for a complete and speedy recovery for Mijai.   
  • Delores Whittington: Thank you for your prayers for Ms. Dee!  The doctors were doing the biopsy but couldn't find the spots on her liver. Continue to pray for her complete recovery and to give her doctors the wisdom moving forward with her care. Again, let's thank God for the victory!  

Baptisms/Restorations 

  • Regina Jenkins: On Wednesday, April 1, 2020, Regina Jenkins was restored to God's kingdom. Let's all rejoice with our sister!  
  • Alicia Acosta: On Friday April 3rd Alicia Acosta was baptized into Christ. Welcome to the family of God Alicia.  Alicia is Jose and Joswar Acosta's mother.   

Church Wide Notifications:         

  • SWAMP UPDATE: Please watch this video if you are curious about the status of SWAMP Camp in light of COVID-19. In summary, the SWAMP board will be making a decision by the end of April whether or not SWAMP weeks will be taking place.  If SWAMP is cancelled this summer, your deposit will be refunded to you.  Please pray for the SWAMP Board to make the best decision possible to keep our kids and families safe.  In the meantime, you can continue to register to save your spot in the week of your choice.  This video is the 2nd update. Update #1 was a letter and can be accessed at CAMPSWAMP.COM   
  • COME SPEND TIME WITH THE STAFF WOMEN (online of course!):  Every Thursday in the month of April, Jennifer and Lavonia will be hosting Women's Fellowship!  We will be joined by the other women on staff for some great time of encouragement, laughter, and inspiration.  These are some challenging days in many ways and though we hope you are getting girl time in your family groups, the staff women want to make themselves accessible to the sisterhood. Thursdays in April you can (click the link to) ZOOM IN from 8-9AM  or ZOOM IN from 7:15-8:15PM.  See you then!    

Upcoming Church Wide Events:        

  • 2020 Vision Conference: The WDS2O2O Planning team continues to evaluate the COVID-19 situation worldwide and locally.  Although they have no definitive update regarding the status of the conference, they currently considering several possibilities and have outlined three options for going forward.  For more information and details, please visit: https://www.wds2020.net/Coronavirus

  • WE NEED YOU!: Are you interested in helping in the C&C ministry? Do you have some time during the day?  Are you comfortable with technology?  Then - The Care & Compassion Ministry would like to talk to you.  We have a few projects we would like some help in implementing?   • Curriculum Resources: Hello Families, in an effort to keep us  moving in a faithful and spiritual direction, we have created a Children's Ministry page on the church website where we will provide our weekly Orange Curriculum parent guides, lessons, and videos.
