  • Calvin Dotson: Calvin Dotson’s dad passed on Sunday, September 1st at his residence following complications from a brief illness. Please pray for Calvin and his family. Cards can be sent to 11589 Crossroads Pl Concord, NC 28025
  • Martin Peele: Please pray for Martin as the doctor's recently found a large blockage in one of his arteries and he will be having heart surgery on September 6th. Prayers that the surgery will be successful, and the recovery will be smooth.

  • Tim and Charlene Franklin: Dear Family and Friends of Tim and Charlene Franklin, As you all know, Tim Franklin, our dear brother in Christ continues to recover at home from a long term illness, which has left him bedridden. Charlene has to work, pay for his nursing care, which is not all covered by insurance and serves as his caregiver after a long day of work. The cost for his care is not all covered by insurance and his medical care is very expensive. Please help our brother and sister in Christ by donating any amount you can. Your support would be greatly appreciated. 🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽

  • Mom's Connection: Hey, Mamas: With the fall season approaching us and the holidays around the corner, we know there’re a lot of changes that can take place—expanding your families, starting a new job, or seeing your children transition to another stage of life. These circumstances and others can be stressful and challenging, and test us emotionally, physically, and spiritually.   • Fall Festival: The Charlotte Church will host a fall festival for our children and community on Saturday October 26, 2024; 2:00-5:00pm. We are asking everyone to come out, serve, encourage, and have a blast with the children.   • Save the Date: Mark your 2025 calendars! The women of the Carolinas & East Georgia (CEG) region will enjoy a spiritual mountain retreat together at Ridgecrest, North Carolina in September 2025. The estimated cost will be $275 per person which includes two nights lodging (assuming two women sharing a two double-bed room), three meals, snacks, and retreat registration fee. Children's Ministry:

  • Thank you: The Children's Ministry wants to again thank the brothers and sisters who have provided breakfast for us through your family group. We are grateful and encouraged by the outpouring of food and love.

Celebrate Recovery:

  • Next Meeting: Tuesday, September 9th in the Fellowship Hall Doors Open @6:30 PM for Fellowship and Refreshments 

FOCUS Ministry: 

    Teen Ministry: 

    • A Time to Serve: September 21st in the church parking lot, the Charlotte teens will work alongside the Street Corners Ministries/MMOG to serve the homeless and our community neighbors. "Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will reward them for what they have done." Proverbs 19:17
    • Hygiene Kit Drive: The teen ministry is starting a hygiene drive from Sunday, September 8th through Friday, September 20th. We are collecting hygiene supplies to donate during our service day on September 21st. There will be two (2) collection bins, one in the lobby as you enter the main doors of the church and the other one near the Kid's Kingdom sign-in area. Items to donate are: soap (fragrance-free), tooth paste, tooth brush, wet wipes (alcohol-free), feminine hygiene items, deodorant, toilet paper, etc. Thank you in advance for helping us meet a need. Matthew 25:34-40, “….Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
    • 2nd Annual Combined Scarowinds Outing: TEENS mark your calendars!! On October 12th, prepare for an evening of exploring Carowinds’ spine-chilling scare zones and mazes with teens from our sister churches (Charleston and Columbia). It will be an evening of food, fun and fellowship- dinner and an evening at SCarowinds. Look out for more details in the upcoming weeks.     Middle School: 

    • KABLAAM 2024: Time to SIGN UP for KaBlaam 2024! KaBlaam 2024 is scheduled to occur on Saturday, September 7th, at our sister church, Triangle Church of Christ, 2103 Page Road, Durham, NC 27703. KaBlaam is an event for middle school aged children which fosters an environment that encourages "one another" relationships through interactive and cooperative play/activities. Please use the QR code or the link below to register for the event. The link is also on the Middle School Band app. Timely registration allows better logistical planning, i.e. food and housing accommodations (for those who request housing). Therefore, please register your child as soon as possible. Note: KaBlaam offers an opportunity for teens to volunteer via the QR code of link, as well.

    HOPE:

    • Charlotte Church Day of Service: Join us as we come together for a day of unity and service at Crisis Assistance Ministry Free Store on Saturday, September 21st. The Free Store offers clothing, shoes, and household items free-of-charge to people in Mecklenburg County.
      • Date: September 21st
      • Time: 8:45am – 11:00am.

      • School Tools Drive: The annual School Tools Drive begins Sunday July 17th and runs through September 1st. We are collecting school supplies for all ages. The collection bins are in the lobby and near the Kid's Kingdom sign-in area. All supplies will be donated to children in the church that need supplies and Classroom Central which benefits children throughout the Charlotte area. Help us help students in need get this new school year started off right.
        • Most Needed Items: Pencils, Crayons, Colored Markers, Dry Erase Markers, Highlighters, Glue Sticks, Pocket Folders, Filler Paper, Composition Notebooks
