Welcome to the family!!
- Jenna Barrientos: We have some wonderful news to share! Last Sunday, Jenna Barrientos made Jesus Lord of her life and was baptized into Christ! Jenna studied the Bible with Amber Herr, Danielle Scurry, Leslie Price, and Marquia Verret and has been such a joy to many disciples she has made connections with within the church. She will be joining the F.O.C.U.S Ministry, and we are so excited to see how God will continue to work through her life. Let’s give a warm welcome to our new sister in Christ – Jenna Barrientos.
- Torri Morrow: We are so excited to announce that on Wednesday night one of our teens, Tori Marrow, submitted her life to Jesus and was baptized into the family of God! Please join us in welcoming her into the family.
- Volunteer Opportunity: Middle School Ministry Leader: Do you have a heart for middle schoolers and a desire to help them grow in their faith? We’re looking for a volunteer to lead or co-lead our Middle School Ministry. This is a wonderful opportunity to build meaningful relationships with students, encourage them in their walk with Christ, and help them develop a lasting desire to know God more deeply. Whether you have years of experience working with youth or simply a passion for walking alongside the next generation, we’d love to talk with you. If you feel God tugging on your heart to step into this important role, or if you’d like more details, please send an email to deacons@thecharlottechurch.org. Let’s invest in our middle schoolers together—they are not just the future of the church; they are the church today!
- Calling All Professionals, Entrepreneurs, and Business Owners of The Charlotte Church! We’re excited to announce that on Sunday, November 16th from 12:00PM to 2:30 PM, The Charlotte Church will host a Career Fair for our middle school and teen students in the church gym — and we need your help to make it a success! Our youth are full of big dreams, but often limited in their exposure to the wide range of career paths available to them. This is your chance to inspire the next generation by sharing your career journey, experience, and insights. One conversation, one story, or one piece of advice could be the spark that sets a young person on their future path. Here’s our ask for participation:
- Set up a 5x5 ft booth in the gym. Include anything you like to showcase your field—tables, banners, pamphlets, screens, swag, candy, games, etc.
- Be available for one follow-up virtual meeting: Students and parents who want to learn more will be able to sign up for a follow-up conversation. This gives them the opportunity to dive deeper into your career field and ask more personal questions of what it takes to be successful in your career field.

- A Night of Elegance-Marrieds Banquet: Calling ALL marrieds!
We’re excited to bring back a time where marrieds dress in their finest clothes, dance the night away, have fun and enjoy a romantic evening together. Space is limited to the first 50 couples. Deadline to sign up is September 20th- Join us Saturday, October 4th from 6-9pm

- Perform at the Marrieds Banquet: Calling our creative members! We’re looking for couples and/or individuals who would like to do a performance (short skit, poetry/spoken word, or sing a song) during the banquet. Theme of performance to be the evolution and strength of marriage by staying connected to God. All performances are for the encouragement of the attendees, and not to your individual spouses. Teen Ministry:
- Teen Ministry Comprehensive Waiver: Please make sure we have an updated Comprehensive Waiver on file for each teen for the 2025-2026 School Year. A copy of the waiver can be found on Band App or let us know if you need a hard copy. You can send the completed form to: teenevents@thecharlottechurch.org
- High School Retreat (sponsored by Swamp): Camp Swamp (Union Point, GA) is having a High School Retreat from October 3-5. Teens throughout our region will come together to spend quality time and build relationships. This event is for teens in grades 9-12. The cost is $125 per person (price goes up to $175 on 9/23). - SCarowinds! Outing: TEENS mark your calendars!! On October 18th, prepare for an evening of fun & fellowship as we explore Carowinds' spine-chilling scare zones and mazes with teens from our sister churches (Charleston and Columbia). Look out for more details in the Band app & announcements in the upcoming weeks. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Anthony and Christine Famularo. Note: every teen who participates must have a current church waiver on file.

HOPE:
- Nourish Up: We extend our sincere appreciation for your valuable service on September 13th. Thanks to your dedication, we successfully prepared over 1,100 food boxes, providing weekly support to neighbors in need. Our collaboration with Mt. Carmel and Nourish Up significantly addresses food insecurity in Charlotte. We invite you to participate in our final volunteer opportunity with Nourish Up for 2025. Volunteers are needed on October 4, 2025, from 10:45 AM to 1:00 PM at 901 Carrier Drive. Individuals aged 14 or older are eligible to serve, and all volunteers are required to wear closed-toed shoes.
