Church Announcements

  • Church-Wide Fast: The Elders and Staff are calling a church-wide fast for all those who are willing and able, starting with a meal on March 25th and then ending it with that meal on Sunday, March 26th. For instance, breakfast to breakfast, lunch to lunch, or dinner to dinner. We are fasting as a church to deepen our relationship with God, each other, our communities we live in, and to deepen our convictions against any attacks from Satan.
    • Here are some examples of group fasting in the scriptures: Ezra 8:21-23, Esther 4:15-16, Acts 13:2-3, the heart that God looks for in our fast can be found in Isaiah 58:3-9. We look forward to hearing and seeing what the Holy Spirit does through our prayer and fast together as God’s church!

Katherine has a Masters in social work, specializes in adolescents, and has 5 children of her own, ranging from 36-18 years old. There are a lot of decisions our kids have to make in middle school and high school. This will help us be more equipped as parents to teach our children how to make those decisions. Parent Midweek will be here at the building at 7:00pm and it will be livestreamed.

HOPE:

  • Thank you:  Special thanks to all of the volunteers and blood donors that made our February Blood Drive a success. Because of you Red Cross was able to collect 34 pints of blood. 102 lives will be impacted as a result of your sacrifice. Mark your calendars. Our next drive will be held on August 12, 2023.
  • Volunteers Needed: We are in need of volunteers to serve and have our first with our neighbors in Concord NC who utilize services from Opportunity House on Thursday March 23, 2023 (6PM-8PM). Opportunity House is a unique day shelter that focuses on meeting the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs of people experiencing homelessness in Cabarrus County. Please Contact Mike Dames @ 704-724-2362 or mikedames@prodigy.net to reserve your spot.
  • HOPE Charlotte: Our HOPE outdoor event that is scheduled for April 23, 2023 will be changed to September 17, 2023. This change is due to a slowdown in the construction of the facility at Frank Liske Park. Details to come later in the summer. Thank you for your understanding and support.
  • HOPE ww Community Suppers: In honor of Dr. King, in 2023 each month, we are asking all of our members and friends to consider hosting a meal in your home where you intentionally invite people who are different from you to break bread with you. The purpose for this activity is to help us all to become intentional at practicing radical hospitality and building relationships with people from all walks of life. Please click here for ideas on how you can achieve this.
  • Please contact Mike Dames if you have questions or ideas at mikedames@prodigy.net (704)763-5733.
