Prayer Request
- Update on Tonya Moore: Please pray for a miracle. It is with a sad heart to inform you that the doctors have said that she only has a few weeks to live. Tonya is presently with her sister in Midland. Her address is: 15703 Bethel Ave Ext, Midland, NC, 28107. If you would like to visit, please coordinate with her sister Lynne Kessler by calling or texting (704)533-5633. There is also a Facebook page made by Care and Compassion to encourage Tonya https://www.facebook.com/groups/644032574423062. Miracles happen everyday! Let us be faithful prayer warriors for our Lord and our beloved sister.
- David Sanchez: David’s brother James passed away. Please be in prayer for him and his family especially on Tuesday, which is when the funeral will be.

- College Students - Home for the Summer: Any college students who are here in the Charlotte area, and are interested in connecting with other students while home please contact Rodney and Jennifer Fuller. - Midweek June 7th: Brothers and Sisters! We will be having midweek on June 7th that will consist of a short lesson followed by an outdoor fellowship.
- Urban Ballroom Classes: Please join others as we use dancing as a form of fun exercise. Urban Ballroom classes are held on the lst and 3rd Sunday of each month in the church fellowship hall. The class begins at 4:00 pm. This is a great way to meet others, bond with your spouse and friends. The cost of classes is $10/person or $15/couple. Funds raised are given for mission contributions. If you have questions about the class, please contact Gloria Kelley (glokelley@gmail.com).

Y&F:
- HS Senior Recognition: June 11th we will take some time to recognize our high school seniors who are graduating c/o 2023. This is a milestone in their lives, the lives of their family and our church, so we want to take the time to honor them. We ask the parents of the graduating senior to submit pictures to Vincent Black at octogonpc@gmail.com no later than Sunday, June 4th. If you have questions please contact Robert Lausen or Davina Lausen.
- Teen Beach Trip 2023: It’s BEACH TRIP time!! Summer time is upon us and the beach is calling our teens, rising 9th graders – 12th graders. The beach trip will happen July 11-15 and the cost is $350 per teen. This is a time not only to enjoy the miles of sandy beach and water but also a time to create memories and bond/connect with each other in order to deepen friendships. A registration link will be loaded in the Band app soon so teens (and parents) make sure you’re monitoring the teen page on the Band app. If you have questions please send them to teenevents@thecharlottechurch.org or contact Robert & Davina Lausen.
Children's Ministry:
- Volunteers Needed: Children's Ministry is looking for you to join us as we introduce our children to the wonder, beauty, and majesty of God through the scriptures in a loving and safe environment. Please click the link to sign up to teach for the August-January rotation!
HOPE:
- HOPE Charlotte: Our HOPE outdoor event that is scheduled for April 23, 2023 will be changed to September 17, 2023. This change is due to a slowdown in the construction of the facility at Frank Liske Park. Details to come later in the summer. Thank you for your understanding and support.
