Sunday Services and Congregational Midweek for July
- 07/28/2024: House Church Sunday
IMPORTANT MIDWEEK SCHEDULE CHANGE:
- From August to October 2024, The Charlotte Church will be hosting a variety of Table Talks for our midweek services.
- Important Note! We have added a class (there are 2 bible study classes - one in person and one on Zoom) and made a change to another one (parenting young children is now parenting teens), if you have already signed up, please take a 2nd look to ensure that you are signed up for the class that you would like to attend. REMEMBER, please sign up for ONE class ONLY.
LEADERS' MEETINGS 2024:
- Leader's meetings will be held both in person (Fellowship Hall) and online (Zoom Meeting ID: 847 3079 6218, Passcode: 842219)

- Gilesa Black's Mom: Please continue to pray for Gilesa Black's mom, Dot McKenney. She had to return to the hospital and has had additional complication with intestinal bleeding. Pray that they can identify the cause and stop the bleeding, so she can proceed with the heart procedure.
- Bruce Dixon IV - son of Bruce & Stephanie Dixon: We ask the church to be in prayer for our son, Bruce Dixon, IV, as he prepares to take the Texas Bar Exam on July 30-31, 2024. Thank you in advance for your prayers.

Celebrate Recovery:
- Celebrate Recovery Next Meeting: The next Celebrate Recovery meeting will be August 6, 2024, at 6:30PM in the Fellowship Hall. Please see the schedule below:

- 7:10 PM: Devotional & Recovery Lesson
- 8:00 PM: Small Group Discussions
Children's Ministry:
- 5th Graders: 5th grade will again be in Children's Ministry and all grades will move up in August.
- Teachers Needed: Children's Ministry is looking for you to join us as we introduce our children to the wonder, beauty, and majesty of God through the scriptures in a loving and safe environment. FOCUS Ministry:
Teen Ministry:
- Combined Teen Ministry Event: TEENS mark your calendars for a great time of fun and fellowship with other teens from our sister churches. Charlotte teens will join the teens from Charleston and Columbia on August 17th for food, fun and fellowship at the Columbia Church of Christ. Look out for more details in the upcoming weeks. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Robert and Davina Lausen via text or email.
- Teen Ministry Midweeks/Devotionals: Mark your calendars for the upcoming midweeks and devotionals:
- August 7th: Teen/MS Midweek @ 7pm
- August 17th: Combined Teen Ministries Fun Day
Middle School:
- KABLAAM 2024: KaBlaam 2024 is scheduled to occur on Saturday, September 7th, at our sister church, Triangle Church of Christ, 2103 Page Road, Durham, NC 27703. KaBlaam is an event for middle school aged children which fosters an environment that encourages “one another” relationships through interactive and cooperative play/activities. Please check the middle school band app or the emailed announcements for the link to register your child in upcoming weeks. Timely registration allows better logistical planning, i.e. food and housing accommodations (for those who request housing). Therefore, please register your child as soon as registration opens.
HOPE:
1. Red Cross Blood Drive
Please consider participating in the next Red Cross Blood Drive. One of the ways that you can serve is by being a blood donor. When you donate, you are giving the gift of life. We are in need of blood donors and volunteers to man the drive. Please check out this video to see the importance of your service. - Where: Charlotte Church Fellowship Hall, 2200 Ashley Road.

2. Heartsaver Hands-only CPR and AED Course:
Please consider signing up to take the Heartsaver CPR and AED course. The course trains participants to provide CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. No medical experience needed.
- Date: Saturday, August 17th.
- Time: 9:00 AM- Noon
- Age: 12 or older.

CPR saves lives! By performing CPR, you can help to buy time until medical assistance arrives at the scene of an emergency. Be ready when 5 minutes matter.
3. School Tools Drive
The annual School Tools Drive begins Sunday July 17th and runs through September 1st. We are collecting school supplies for all ages. The collection bins are in the lobby and near the Kid’s Kingdom sign-in area. All supplies will be donated to children in the church that need supplies and Classroom Central which benefits children throughout the Charlotte area. Help us help students in need get this new school year started off right.
Most Needed Items: Pencils, Crayons, Colored Markers, Dry Erase Markers, Highlighters, Glue Sticks, Pocket Folders, Filler Paper, Composition Notebooks
