Weekly Announcements:
Important Message or 12/04/22: One of the boilers at the building is currently not working and we do not have heat in the Sanctuary or in the Children's Ministry classrooms. Although we are working to have it fixed as soon as possible, it will not be repaired before service this Sunday and a possibility that it will not be repaired by December 11th. With that being said, we will not have Children's Ministry this Sunday (12/4). We are working on a plan to possibly have it on the 11th. Please dress appropriately on Sunday for the cooler temperature.
Prayer Request:
- Jeff Krider: Please be in prayer for Jeff Krider as he is struggling with a chronic medical issue. He is currently living at the Sardis Oaks Atrium Health Facility located at 5151 Sardis Road Charlotte NC. He can be reached by phone at 704-304-2438.
- The Vasquez Family: Please be in prayer for the Vasquez family as Belky's mother and Lorena's grandmother recently passed away in the Dominican Republic. Jose & Belkys are there now but cards of encouragement may be sent to them here at: 1807 Cherry Road, Suite 133, Rock Hill, SC 29732
- Sheila Davis: Please keep Sheila Davis in your prayers. She has recently been diagnosed with skin cancer. Pray that she will find the best doctors to treat her cancer. Cards of encouragement can be sent to Sheila at 1000-807 Baxter Street Charlotte, NC 28204

Upcoming Meetings
- Leader's Movie and Pizza Appreciation Night: The Elders and Staff would like to invite you and your immediate family to a movie and dinner night to show our appreciation for all that you do to serve God's Church. The fun will begin on December 4 at 5:00 PM at the church building! We will have games, pizzas, snacks, & a movie presented by Under the Stars Cinema.
- This will take the place of our normal scheduled December meeting earlier that day and will be our last meeting of the year. Our next meeting will be on 01/07/2023...more details to come!
Church Announcements
- Christmas Eve Candlelight Service: Invite your friends and family and join us for worship on Saturday, December 24 from 6:30-7:45pm. If needed, there will be playrooms available for parents to use with your children 5 & under. The service will be showing in these rooms. All other children will be in service with their families. This time together will be in place of any formal gathering or family group worship on Sunday December 25. Of course, if you want to gather with others on Sunday morning, Amen! We look forward to a meaningful time of celebrating our Lord's arrival on Christmas Eve.
- Multi-Generational Tea Party: "I am reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also." 2Timothy 1:5. multi-generational relationships are vital to learning to navigate life! We all have stories from our older (and younger) relatives and friends that helped shape our lives. The Garden Tea Party is an opportunity to get together with our daughters, sisters, neighbors and friends, of all ages and stages, to sit together over a cup of tea (and a few treats and sweets!), to share some of those stories, learn from each other, maybe take home a garden tip or two, as well as some seed packets and a special little gift!

Children's Ministry:
- Christmas Service Participation: Children 4yrs-5th grade will sing for the Christmas Service on Sunday, December 11,2022. If you have not received the email with details, and the lyrics and recording, please contact April Williams, awilliams@thecharlottechurch.org
Married Ministry:
- International Holiday Potluck: The Marrieds Ministry will host an International Holiday Potluck, Saturday December 3rd from 6-9pm. Prepare your favorite traditional dish, representing your family/heritage/country. Please make enough to share. We will have music and fun activities to get to know one another. Please invite your married friends!
- Location: The Charlotte Church Fellowship Hall
Focus Ministry:
- That's A Wrap Party: On Dec 10th from 5-9pm the FOCUS Ministry is hosting our That's a Wrap Party to close out the year. We will be doing a service project along with sharing a meal together catered by Tacos 4 Life. Please join us in the fellowship hall and invite your friends to come for some fun, fellowship, food and service! To sign up please use the link by December 5th so that we can have an accurate head count for food.
HOPE:
- HOPE ww Charlotte 2022 Coats, Hats, Scarves, Sock Drive: Please consider donating items for this year's drive. We are looking for new or gently used items for adults and children. We will be collecting through Sunday Dec 18th. Please place your donations in the bins which will be located in the main lobby of the Charlotte Church. All items collected will be donated to Crisis Assistance Ministry Free Store. If you have questions, please contact Mike Dames. mikedames@prodigy.net
- Holiday Gift Card Program: We will be running our holiday gift card program again this year. If you would like to donate a gift card, which will be given to an individual or family in the church, that is in need, starting this week, you can stop by the HOPE table which will be setup downstairs by the fellowship hall or you can mail it to the below. All cards must be received by December 4th. The cards can be for places like grocery stores, Wal-mart, Target, etc. If you have any questions, please stop by the HOPE table after service or contact Hazel Jones hmjones08@yahoo.com or Anne Dames annedames@prodigy.net. MMOG Ministries:
- SCM Christmas Toy & Clothing Drive for 12/17/2022: We are gearing up to have a special Gifting Day for the moms & their Children of the Freedom Community Outreach housing, the Moms Moving Forward program & our Ashley Park area community

- Talent Show: Church Family- We Need Your Help!!!! Please go to the following link- We've Got Talent and sign up to participate in Talent Show/Fundraiser. All proceeds minus cost and prizes will go to the MMOG Ministries to support their efforts. You may sign up to sing, juggle, play an instrument, etc., and you may also volunteer to help with set-up, collect tickets, or volunteer to donate needed prizes for participants.
