- Beulah Shaw: Requesting prayers as we mourn the loss of my husband, Charles’s, father (Willie Shaw) who passed Tuesday 08/06/24. Condolences may be sent to us at 1821 Wilton Gate Drive, Charlotte, NC 28262.
- Sade Tinsley: Please pray for Sade Tinsley's 7-year-old cousin Charlotte. She's been having seizures and is currently in the hospital.
- Tim and Charlene Franklin: Dear Family and Friends of Tim and Charlene Franklin, As you all know, Tim Franklin, our dear brother in Christ continues to recover at home from a long term illness, which has left him bedridden. Charlene has to work, pay for his nursing care, which is not all covered by insurance and serves as his caregiver after a long day of work. The cost for his care is not all covered by insurance and his medical care is very expensive. Please help our brother and sister in Christ by donating any amount you can. Your support would be greatly appreciated. 🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽

- Mom Connection: Hey Momma's! Please join us for fellowship and water play with our little ones at Latta Park on Saturday, 8/17/24. Invite your friends and try to connect with a mom you don't know already. We are looking forward to seeing you there!

- YoPro Retreat: All Young Professionals ages 21-35 are invited to the third annual Young Professionals Singles Retreat in Fredonia, WI. The event will be hosted August 23-25 and the cost is $235. Please see the registration link for more information.

FOCUS Ministry:
Teen Ministry:
- Queen-Cola-Chuck Towns Teens EXTRAVAGANZA: TEENS (9th grade -graduated seniors) mark your calendars for a great time of fun and fellowship with other teens from our sister churches. Charlotte teens will join the teens from Charleston and Columbia on August 17th for food, fun and fellowship at the Columbia Church of Christ. Check the Teen Band app for more details and to confirm your attendance. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Robert and Davina Lausen via text or email. Note: every teen who will participate must have a current church waiver on file, Teen Ministry 2024-2025 Comprehensive Waiver

Middle School:
- KABLAAM 2024: KaBlaam 2024 is scheduled to occur on Saturday, September 7th, at our sister church, Triangle Church of Christ, 2103 Page Road, Durham, NC 27703. KaBlaam is an event for middle school aged children which fosters an environment that encourages "one another" relationships through interactive and cooperative play/activities. Please check the middle school band app or the emailed announcements for the link to register your child in upcoming weeks. Timely registration allows better logistical planning, i.e. food and housing accommodations (for those who request housing). Therefore, please register your child as soon as registration opens.
HOPE:
1. Red Cross Blood Drive (THIS SATURDAY 8/10/24)
Please consider participating in the next Red Cross Blood Drive. One of the ways that you can serve is by being a blood donor. When you donate, you are giving the gift of life. We are in need of blood donors and volunteers to man the drive. Please check out this video to see the importance of your service. 2. Heartsaver Hands-only CPR and AED Course:
Please consider signing up to take the Heartsaver CPR and AED course. The course trains participants to provide CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. No medical experience needed.
- Date: Saturday, August 24th.
- Time: 9:00 AM- Noon
- Age: 12 or older.

CPR saves lives! By performing CPR, you can help to buy time until medical assistance arrives at the scene of an emergency. Be ready when 5 minutes matter.
3. School Tools Drive
The annual School Tools Drive begins Sunday July 17th and runs through September 1st. We are collecting school supplies for all ages. The collection bins are in the lobby and near the Kid’s Kingdom sign-in area. All supplies will be donated to children in the church that need supplies and Classroom Central which benefits children throughout the Charlotte area. Help us help students in need get this new school year started off right.
Most Needed Items: Pencils, Crayons, Colored Markers, Dry Erase Markers, Highlighters, Glue Sticks, Pocket Folders, Filler Paper, Composition Notebooks
