  • Thank you: To My Church Family, On April 20th, I celebrate Jesus’s resurrection and also two years of breast cancer survivorship — a testimony not of my strength alone, but of God’s faithfulness, healing power, and unshakable grace. I want to sincerely thank each of you for your prayers, encouragement, and unwavering support throughout this journey. Your love uplifted me in moments of fear, gave me strength when I felt weak, and reminded me that I was never walking alone. Through every appointment, every treatment, every tear, and every moment of hope — God was present. And so were you. Whether it was a kind word, a thoughtful gesture, a meal, donation, or simply standing in the gap with prayer, you were a reflection of Christ’s love to me. This milestone is more than a date on the calendar — it is a declaration of victory, healing, and purpose. I give all glory to God for carrying me through, and I remain committed to encouraging others walking through their own valleys. Thank you for being part of my healing journey and for being the hands and heart of Christ in my life. With love and gratitude, LaTia Edwards 2-Year Breast Cancer Survivor
  • Update on Sylvia Yanez: Hello brothers and sisters, I want to thank everyone for the visits, cards, prayers and support during my mom's illness. Thank you to the leadership team for taking the time to come to pray with her as well. Sylvia tried the immunotherapy treatment but unfortunately it didn't work so she has decided to take no more treatment. Fortunately, she is feeling ok right now. We will have palliative care started in the next week or so. Please continue to pray for her to be at peace and that we can keep her comfortable. Thank you again. With Christ's love, Viviana Kesel

      • May 3rd with Nourish up: The highest number of households experiencing food insecurity are in the west corridor. Having enough food to feed their families is a daily challenge for many of our neighbors. We have an opportunity on May 3rd with Nourish up, formerly known as Loaves and Fishes, to help these neighbors. Nourish-up is the agency that provides food for the majority of the food pantries that serve the west corridor. They have entrusted us to man their new warehouse on Saturday, May 3rdh in 2 shifts to sort donations, prepare food boxes and fill orders for the pantries that they serve. We are in need of 20 volunteers for each shift. Please click here to go to the HOPE Charlotte Volunteer Hub to register. Please note: You must create a HOPE account to participate in these service projects. After signing up on the Volunteer Hub for the Nourish-up service project your registration is complete. You will be asked to sign the Nourish-up volunteer waiver when you arrive. This is an excellent opportunity for you to invite a friend to serve along with you. This project is for volunteers 14 and older. You must wear close-toed shoes.
      • Faith Health Ministry: April is Keep Moving Month. We invite all members of the church to participate in our month-long initiative focused on physical activity. Each member is encouraged to engage in 30 minutes of physical activity per day, five days per week. This can include walking, running, swimming, or any other physical activities that interest you. Please use this form to track your progress. This initiative can be an enjoyable experience for you, your family, and your friends.
