Two things to address regarding one of the slides on the PowerPoint this past Sunday:
1. The Table (slide 4) on the powerpoint: There were 5 points with scriptures attached on the left side; those scriptures DO NOT correspond to the points on the right side of the table. So there were actually 10 separate points under: 'Some Truths in Understanding Prayer'.
2. Also on the table under 'Prayer can give wisdom', the scripture reference should be James 1: 5 NOT James 3: 5!
I apologize for the confusion.

PRAYER REQUEST
Carlisa Sanders-We rejoice as Carlisa has made great progress in her recovery at The Shepherd Center in Atlanta. Please be praying for The Sanders as they prepare for her return home the beginning of August. It will be a transition for their family, as well as us, because Carlisa will still be recovering and won't be back to her "usual" routine for quite some time. Many have asked how they may help and that will be more clear as she returns home but cards may be sent to Jes & Carlisa at 1429 Bevis Drive, Charlotte NC 28209 (but please no unscheduled visits). Jes shares a moving video of her amazing progress!

HOPE Announcements:
1. Our Next Blood Drive will be held on Saturday 8-17-19 (8AM- 1PM) in our Fellowship Hall located at 2200 Ashley Rd Charlotte, NC. We are in need of blood donors and volunteers to man the drive. Please help us get the word out. Sign Ups begin today. Look for the HOPE table at the front door of the church after service.
2. Once again this year we will be sponsoring a Schools Tools Drive to support students in need through Classroom Central. We need your help. Please drop off your schools supplies beginning Sunday,
7-21-19 through 9-1-19. Look for the collection barrels in the front lobby of the church and in front of the Fellowship Hall downstairs. Also, if you're interested in hosting a drive at your workplace please contact me for assistance. Mike Dames - 704-724-2362 or mikedames@prodigy.net

HOPE Faith Health Announcement
HOPE Faith Health Ministry is excited to present the first Women's Health Series to The Charlotte Church, friends and our surrounding community. The series will kick off August 4th at noon with a brief 30 minute informational session entitled "Get Your Body Back After Baby!" presented by Hannah Boothe, a physical therapist in our congregation. This class is for women only and will primarily address postpartum concerns with useful information and practical tips. From the expectant mother to mothers that are years postpartum, please join us after church service, as we discuss common physical concerns including weak abdominals, pelvic floor dysfunction, back pain, headaches, etc.

Join us for a special weekend devoted to helping prepare students and parents for the spiritual and academic transition to college.

"Rise" 2019 Southeast Teen Rally
The Southeast churches will have a Teen Rally in Marietta GA, hosted by The Atlanta churches on the weekend of Sept 20-22nd, 2019 . It's a two-day conference themed "Rise" Isaiah 40:30-31 . Guests from out of town will be able to stay with church families in the Atlanta area! Cost is $40 before Aug 1. After Aug 1st, cost goes up to $50.
