SOUTH LADIES BRUNCH CANCELLATION
The South Ladies Brunch scheduled for September 22 has been CANCELLED, due to storm damage and cleanup efforts at the home of the hostess. The brunch will be rescheduled at a future date.
ALL NATIONS SERVICE THIS SUNDAY
This Sunday September 23 we will be celebrating our diversity in our worship with scripture reading and prayers in many languages. We have 39 different countries represented in our church! Please bring your friends and let's worship God together celebrating our diversity, unity and love for God and each other.
CARE AND COMPASSION MINISTRY
1. Care and Compassion Ministry : Leadership Needs
Though the Care & Compassion Ministry was 1st announced in August 2017, just prior to the passing of William Scurry - We still think it's worthwhile and want it to move forward - but need your help. We are in need of couples and/or individuals interested in taking a leadership role of the various teams we first announced for the ministry: Encouragement, Prayers, Visitation, Events, Helping Hands, and Card Teams. Not all of these will be launched at the same time but as we have adequate support we can roll out pieces. We would also like to have a couple willing to take on the overall lead as this is more than Margo feels she can shoulder by herself at this time. If you have interest in leading any part of the ministry - please call Margo Scurry (704.277.5605) and/or reach out to our shepherding elder Don Hall.
2. Care and Compassion Ministry : Memorial Box
"We light a candle in remembrance of Our Loved Ones" - As announced on Sept 2., Margo Scurry has created and donated the Memorial box that will reside on the table in the lobby area of the church. The intent is to allow members to memorialize or remember a loved one with a picture on the anniversary of their passing or another special date (ie birthdate). If you would like to have your loved ones picture displayed during the week of that special date - please contact Margo at 704.277.5605. Additionally, parents - the box is glass and fragile so please be mindful of your children and make sure they do not lean on the table or place any other objects on it. Thank you.
CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
"The Children's ministry apologizes for all of the changes and we thank you for all of your flexibility and positive attitude! Your children have done a great job in service! Due to all of the moving parts of the building we will have classes behind the sanctuary until we announce returning to our typical set up. On Sundays we will have classes for infants to 3 year olds and on Midweeks we will have infants through 5 year olds. We will have packets available for the older children. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility as we make our building great!"
LOST AND FOUND & FACILITIES UPDATE
Lost and Found
Please check the lost and found located in the stairwell leading to the balcony (ushers can help you locate it). L & F has several items including water bottles, bibles, & notebooks.
Going forward, lost and found items will be kept for one month and then will be donated to Goodwill.

NORTH NEW MEMBER WELCOME

YOUTH AND FAMILY MINISTRY
Youth & Family Event: Laser Tag - Saturday, Sept. 29th @ 1:00 PM
We are inviting all of the Youth & Family Members to our rescheduled "Epic Laser Tag Battle Game" on Saturday, September 29th at 1 pm! The cost is $15 per Teen Member and $17 per Adult/guests, and includes 2 Games, Pizza, and a Private Room! This will be held at Laser Quest located at 10403 Park Road Unit J Charlotte, NC 28210. We ask that everyone arrive between 12:20 and 12:50 pm so we can start our game promptly. We need a minimum of 10 participants to get this rate, so RSVP is required, and money will need to be collected this Sunday, September 23, and Wednesday, Sept. 26th. Any other questions, please see Uchenna and/or Crystal, and Tonya Krider who can collect the money on these dates. Thanks!

WOMEN'S DAY: ENOUGH
Hello Brothers and Sisters!
We have invested a lot of time, energy, and resources into this year's Women's Day and are truly grateful, but more importantly we want God to be glorified. We are faithful that this event will lead people to knowing Jesus as their Lord, Savior, and so much more.
The Women's Day committee is actively planning and organizing the many aspects to make Women's Day great! But we need your help. In an effort to connect the servants of Christ with an area to serve, we have created a sign up genius that will cover all areas of the event.

HOPE
HOPE Charlotte will be partnering with Habitat for Humanity to build a home for a family in our area. We need volunteers to help build the home. The build site is in Matthews, NC. There are two build dates Saturday, October 6th and Saturday, November 17th. Each build day has two work slots: 8:30am - 12:30pm or 12:30pm to 3:30pm. Volunteers can sign-up for either work slot on either day. Volunteers must be at least 17 years old. Be a part of helping a local family build strength, stability, self-reliance and a home. The Charlotte Church has set a goal of collecting $125,000 for missions in 2018. The first $75,000 collected will be used for support of the church planting in Boone, North Carolina. The next $50,000 collected will be used in support of African missions. Any additional funds collected over $125,000 will be used for domestic and/or foreign missions as determined by the evangelists, elders and Board of Directors of the Charlotte Church.
